Orthopedic Care Education & Support
Treating more than just your medical condition
As a Crozer-Keystone orthopedic patient, you can expect treatment for both body and mind. We treat your medical condition, and we address your needs for emotional balance, physical comfort and quality of life.
We offer many programs designed to enhance the daily lives of patients during orthopedic treatment and rehabilitation.
Joint Replacement Education Classes
Patients who are having, or considering having, joint replacement surgery at a Crozer-Keystone hospital (Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Sprinfield Hospital or Taylor Hospital) should attend one of the free, preoperative joint replacement education classes held at each site.
Joint replacement education classes help patients understand all the important details they need to know before, the day of, and after their procedure. Topics include what to bring to the hospital, pre-surgery exercises, pain education, equipment that may be used during the hospital stay, the in-hospital rehabilitation process and how to prepare a patient’s home for recovery.

The Wellness Programs, offered by the Healthplex® Sports Club, are available to patients who have either graduated from therapy or who could benefit from a supervised exercise program in a group setting.
Along with a Healthplex® fitness coach and the appropriate health care professionals, participants set goals for their individualized program through group activities in an effort to maximize function and promote overall fitness.
The Wellness Programs provide a final step for individuals returning to an independent exercise program.
