Perinatal Testing Center

The Perinatal Testing Center at Delaware County Memorial Hospital offers comprehensive care and services to moms-to-be and their unborn babies. From pre-conception consultations through high-risk deliveries, the Center provides complete prenatal screening and diagnostic services.

Women experiencing complications during pregnancy can turn to the Perinatal Testing Center at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Our specialists are trained in the area of high-risk pregnancy, or pregnancies that put the mother or unborn baby at a serious health risk. Specialists in maternal fetal medicine are available 24 hours a day to consult with other physicians and care for patients.  

The following conditions generally indicate a high-risk pregnancy:

  • Diabetes
  • Kidney disease
  • High blood pressure (hypertension or preeclampsia)
  • Multiple births (twins, triplets, etc.)
  • Prior preterm delivery; preterm labor
  • Fetal anomalies (problems with the baby)
  • Medical complications along with pregnancy (heart disease, sickle cell disease, lupus, etc.)
