Moms in Motion
Crozer-Keystone Health System’s “Moms in Motion” program allows moms-to-be and postpartum mothers to enroll in wellness classes at Crozer-Keystone’s Healthplex® Sports Club in Springfield. A specially trained expert leads each class, taking into account each woman’s personal needs and fitness level. The end result is a program specifically tailored to you.
Available Classes
“Moms in Motion” offers the following classes:
Struttin’ Strollers: Moms can bring their infants or toddlers in strollers to this class, which combines cardiovascular exercise and strength training.
Gentle Mom Pilates: For prenatal mothers, this class helps strengthen pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort.
Fit for 2: Combining a cardiovascular interval workout with a circuit weight routine, this class helps both pre- and postnatal women increase stamina, strength and endurance.
Aqua Mom: A low-impact class that incorporates the use of aquatic equipment.
CK Mom: A one-hour class that includes low-impact exercise and discussions about remaining fit during pregnancy.
Mom and Baby: A program that allows new moms to do light stretching, strengthening and low-impact aerobic exercises, all while holding their babies in the carriers worn on their chests.
Parent/Tot: A 30-minute parent/child aquatic class.
Healthy Living: A comprehensive wellness program of aerobics and strength training geared toward those with orthopedic injuries, neuromuscular disorders, and/or limited exercise ability.
Lighten-Up: A program taught by registered dietitians and exercise specialists. Learn tips to improve your health through proper nutrition, exercise, and fitness education.
