Angiojet

Crozer-Keystone physicians have many methods to prevent and treat blood clots, but for more severe blockages, the Angiojet® System can be used. A minimally invasive, catheter-based procedure, the Angiojet® breaks through the clot by delivering high-speed jets of saline solution through tiny openings in the top of the catheter. The saline jets create a powerful vacuum within the artery or vein, breaking up the clot, and removing the tiny pieces.
