National Research Corporation selected Crozer-Keystone Health System as the recipient of its 2014 Innovative Best Practice Award. Crozer-Keystone Health System was recognized at the 20th Annual NRC Picker Patient-Centered Care Symposium in San Diego, CA.

The Innovative Best Practice Award is given to organizations that have demonstrated outstanding best practices that result in significant improvements in patient-centered care and healthcare outcomes. National Research defines a best practice in patient-centered care as an innovative use of resources with documented results of significant improvement in cost, quality, patient satisfaction, and safety—all factors that affect the health of an organization and its patients. Entries were judged on the program’s innovation and execution, as well as the resulting improvement.

“Organizations like these are making a remarkable difference in the quality of healthcare, and we congratulate Crozer-Keystone Health System for this well-deserved achievement,” said Helen Hrdy, Senior Vice President of Client Service at National Research Corporation.

“It is a much deserved reward for all of those that work in the emergency department and have an impact on patients,” said Gregory Cuculino, M.D., chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Taylor Hospital and Delaware County Memorial Hospital. “Receiving this award is about being on the right track and doing the most innovative things to get the job done. We have made many improvements and changes that have not involved any additional resources or money that other places have, and are getting results.”

For more than 30 years, National Research Corporation has been at the forefront of patient-centered care. Today, the company’s focus on empowering customer-centric healthcare across the continuum extends patient-centered care to incorporate families, communities, employees, senior housing residents, and other stakeholders.
