Patrick J. Gavin Named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Crozer-Keystone Health System

Patrick J. Gavin was recently named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Crozer-Keystone Health System.
In this role, Gavin is now responsible for the oversight of all Crozer-Keystone hospitals and business units. Gavin, who has served as president of Crozer-Chester Medical Center since 2010, will retain that position in addition to his new role.

Since joining Crozer-Keystone, Gavin has been involved in launching several new programs and facilities, including the Crozer-Keystone Regional Kidney Transplant Program at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, the Pediatric Sleep Center at Crozer, and the Crozer Medical Plaza and Crozer-Keystone Regional Cancer Center at Brinton Lake. He has reorganized units at Crozer and is leading the medical center’s transition to having all private patient rooms. He has also helped the medical center make positive gains in many areas, including length of stay, patient satisfaction, employee safety, expense reduction, information technology and other areas.
Gavin holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University, an MBA in information systems from Saint Joseph’s University and a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University.
Before coming to the health system, Gavin served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, Pa. He previously held leadership roles with Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allentown, Pa.; Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, Philadelphia; and Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains, N.J.
Gavin lives in Upper Gwynedd with his wife, Jean, and their two children.
