For some employees of Crozer-Keystone Health System, the Eagle National Bank 5K Walk/Run to Fight Cancer is more than just a chance to get out and take a leisurely walk/run around the scenic Drexel Park section of Drexel Hill. It’s a chance to get their teams together, fight cancer, and win the race.

“The Radical Rascals have been competing in the walk/run for the past 15 years,” says Marie DeStefano, administrative director of Oncology for Crozer-Keystone Health System, and the Radical Rascal’s team captain. “Last year, we decided to re-direct our efforts from winning the race to volunteering our services in the operational components of the event. Hopefully, we will have enough teammates this year to do both so that we can regain our title as ‘champion’ of the team race.”

“It was an honor to have won the team race last year,” says Mike Cole, Taylor pharmacist and captain of the Drug Runners. “It’s a great feeling to come together as a team to fight for such an important cause. We will try to keep ourselves in shape over the summer and come September, we will run as hard as we can. Our goal is to get more runners for our team, have fun and support a great cause.”
