Firefighting Organization Donates $7,000 to Crozer’s Regional Burn Treatment Center

Members of the Philly Metro F.O.O.L.S. present the proceeds of their fund-raising event to Joe Saunders, president of Crozer, and Cynthia Reigart, R.N., Gerarda Bozinko, R.N., and Jeanne Rice, M.A., from the Burn Treatment Center.

Members of the Philly Metro F.O.O.L.S. organization recently presented more than $7,000 to representatives from the Nathan Speare Regional Burn Treatment Center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. The money was raised at a special event coordinated by the group, which is made up of firefighters from the greater Philadelphia area, in July. The fund-raiser was held at the Tex Mex Connection Restaurant in North Wales, Pa., and the evening included live entertainment, raffles, food and more. The Burn Treatment Center is the only burn facility in suburban Philadelphia that provides all of the services needed to meet the needs of burn patients and their families within a single unit. More than 450 adult and pediatric patients are treated there annually. The Burn Treatment Center has met the standards of the American Burn Association’s Burn Center Verification/Consultation Program. For more information, visit www.crozerkeystone.org.
