It’s Not Too Late to Register for the Eagle National Bank 5K Walk/Run

September is coming up quickly, and that means school will begin, the leaves will be changing soon, and it’s time once again for the Eagle National Bank 5K Walk/Run to Fight Cancer.

You still have about six weeks left before this annual event, now in its 19th year, brings nearly 1,000 people out to Delaware County Memorial Hospital to walk or run for a good cause. Join the fun—the run begins at 10 a.m. and the walk at 10:01 on Saturday, Sept. 25. The course winds through the scenic neighborhood of Drexel Park, and also has a few moderately challenging twists and inclines for avid runners.

A health fair, from 9 a.m. to noon, will be offered with lots of screenings and tables of health information. Free food, gifts and activities such as face painting will also be available.

Register ahead of time online at www.races2run.com. Pre-registration fee, if received by Sept. 17, 2010, is $25 for adults and $10 for students or children under 15. Registration after Sept. 17, and on race day (from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.) will be $30 for adults and $20 for students or children under 15. All registration fees are waived if the participant submits $50 or more in pledge money by Sept. 17.

Crozer-Keystone employees who are also members of Wellness Works will also receive points on their Healthy Lifestyle Trackers for participating in this event.
