Medical Director, Crozer Medical Associates (CMA)
The Crozer-Keystone Health System is currently looking for a physician educator to fill the role of Core Faculty to join our training program of 24 IM residents and 14 transitional residents at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. We are affiliated with Temple University School of Medicine where individuals can apply for academic appointments commensurate with their qualifications. Crozer is located just south of Philadelphia. Our 300-bed hospital is part of the largest health system in Delaware County, Pa serving a diverse population of over one million residents.
The physician will function as the practice medical director for the Crozer Medical Associates (CMA) group, which has attained the Level 3 NCQA Medical Home since 2009. We are seeking a medical director who knows how to run a successful practice, knows how to structure processes/systems to deliver high quality patient care while improving efficiencies and business outcomes and merge this into Crozer Medical Associates, the internal medicine residency practice.
The position will involve teaching the residents and medical students. Participation in lectures, morning report, board review, and scholarly activities will be the academic portion of the position. Developing a small private practice in the integrated resident-faculty practice, Crozer Medical Associates, precepting the residents in their weekly office practice, as well as serving as the inpatient service attending approximately 1 in 8 weeks rounds out the clinical portion.
In addition, the CMA practice is part of a statewide collaborative of selected practices to work with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and insurance companies to improve the care and reduce the cost for patients with chronic diseases. A state-of-the-art practice facility using the EMR Centricity since 2007, CMA serves a large population of diverse patients with a varied socioeconomic background.
The ideal candidate will be ABIM certified and have at least 2 years of experience in clinical education and leadership skills.
This is an employed position with the Crozer-Keystone Health Network. We are located 15 minutes south of Philadelphia with easy commute to New Jersey and Delaware.
