CEO Update

A Message from Patrick Gavin, CEO of Crozer-Keystone Health System

A Message About Leadership at DCMH and Taylor

As part of its goal of being an organization focused on growth, Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. follows a model of having a single president dedicated to the administration of each of its hospitals. This model allows each president to not only focus on the operations of his/her facility, but also to devote significant time to growing and expanding the presence of the hospital in the communities it serves.

In advancing this model, I would like to announce today that Bob Haffey will now be dedicated solely to the operations at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. I would also like to introduce our new president of Taylor Hospital, Joe Rafferty. Over the next six months, Joe will report to Bob to ensure a smooth transition into this new role.

Joe comes to Crozer-Keystone with more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience in operations, business development and process improvement. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of the Nix Healthcare System in San Antonio, Texas, which is also part of Prospect Medical Holdings. His previous roles include serving as Chief Strategy Officer for Houston Northwest Medical Center; CEO of Healthbridge Children’s Hospital in Houston; Director of Business Development for the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston; and Program Manager for Process Excellence for Stanford Hospitals and Clinics, Palo Alto, Calif. He earned a bachelor’s in business administration from Ohio University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Please join me in welcoming Joe, as well as thanking Bob for his service to Taylor Hospital. Joe can be reached at joseph.rafferty@crozer.org or 610-595-6050 (19-6050). Bob will continue to be reached at robert.haffey@crozer.org or 610-284-8614 (12-8614).
