Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Training Institute
Specializing in vital emergency care at the scene.
Bringing the hospital to the patient
Ambulances of one form or another have been bringing patients to hospitals for centuries. Paramedics have been bringing the life saving resources of the hospital to the emergency scene for only the last few decades.
The Crozer Emergency Medical Services Training Institute (EMSTI), in conjunction with Delaware County Community College (DCCC), trains health care professionals to provide care at the scene of an emergency as a Paramedic. As a Crozer Paramedic Student, you will become an essential component in the continuum of care, practicing the art and science of pre-hospital health care under the direction of specialized EMS command physicians.
With 1,400+ hours of specialized training plus supervised clinical/field experience, a student in the EMT-Paramedic program will gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide advanced emergency life support, including:
- Acquiring and interpreting electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Initiating inter-venous access
- Performing advanced airway procedures
- Administering medications
