Chester Drug Free Community
Chester Drug Free
Launched in 2009, Chester DFC is the arm of the Chester Youth Collaborative focused on substance abuse prevention among Chester’s youth. It is a network led by staff of the Crozer Wellness Center and its members include: youth, parents, businesses, media, schools, youth serving organizations, law enforcement, faith-based and fraternal organizations, civic groups, healthcare entities and government offices concerned about substance abuse.
Our goals are:
- To strengthen collaboration among stakeholders to maximize the impact of prevention efforts.
- To reduce substance abuse among youth (and, over time, among adults) by addressing the factors in the Chester community that increase risk of substance abuse.
- To promote the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
