Staff members in two departments at Crozer-Keystone Health System were recently acknowledged with gold banner awards for consistently delivering an outstanding patient care experience.

Award recipients for the 4th Quarter of 2018 (July-September) are the staff on 2 West at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, Pa. and on 3 Telemetry at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, Pa.

Crozer-Keystone Health System evaluates patient experience through a 19-question patient survey administered at discharge. The survey questions assess nurse communication, physician communication, staff responsiveness, hospital environment, care transition, medication communication, discharge information, and pain management.

The Gold Award is presented to units that score in the top 25 percentile of at least nine questions in the survey. The Silver Award is presented to units scoring in the top 50 percentile of at least 14 questions in the survey.

Recognition includes an internal announcement, congratulatory banner and $100 gift card to be used for food and drinks at the unit’s celebration.
