Ultrasound Instructions

Whether for a baseline, in-cycle or early pregnancy monitoring, ultrasounds are transvaginal therefore it is unnecessary to fill the bladder.

If you are having an embryo transfer during an IVF or recipient cycle, we perform an abdominal ultrasound and do request that you have ~8 ounces of fluid prior to your arrival at our office. A volume as such in the bladder will facilitate the abdominal ultrasound of your uterus.
