Geriatric EMS (GEMS)

GEMS acknowledges that the proportion of the older population in society today is greater than ever before and approximately 34% of calls for emergency medical services, or 3.4 million emergency responses involve patients over the age of 60.

GEMS is a course that represents the most credible and complete source of pre-hospital medical information for older adults.

Course Objectives

The GEMS course focuses on teaching individuals how to react to the millions of emergencies that involve patients over the age of 60.

This course will address all the special needs of the older population.

Cost

The cost for the GEMS course is $160.
