Support Groups

When you are battling cancer, it’s often helpful to speak with someone who’s gone through the same situation. That’s why Crozer-Keystone Health System offers a variety of cancer support groups for those who are fighting cancer or helping a loved one through a difficult diagnosis.

Breast Cancer Support Group

Members of this support group meet every Monday to discuss their diagnoses, treatments and experiences with breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Support Group at Delaware County Regional Cancer Center is open to any woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer; spouses and significant others are also welcome.

For more information or to register, call 610-284-8112.

Family and Friends

This support group is designed for the relatives, caregivers and friends of those with a diagnosis of cancer. Participants are invited to share their feelings and experiences in a close, friendly setting. The group meets monthly at Springfield Hospital.

General Cancer Support Group

This support group at Delaware County Regional Cancer Center is open to those who have been diagnosed with cancer and/or their adult family members, and provides a forum for newly diagnosed patients to discuss their thoughts, feelings, concerns and questions about issues related to their cancer diagnosis or treatment.

Look Good, Feel Better

Women with a diagnosis of cancer often experience changes in body image brought on by cancer treatments. This support group explains methods of maintaining your appearance during treatment, including help with selecting breast forms, wigs, scarves and skin care/beauty products. The group meets six times per year. Our specialist is also available for private consultation.

For more information or to register, call 610-394-1740.

Man to Man (Prostate Cancer Support Group)

The Prostate Cancer Support Group is open to any man who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. This group includes both an educational component and an opportunity to discuss issues of interest with the other group members. Patterned after the national guidelines for “Man to Man,” this group is coordinated by a male oncology nurse and held monthly at Springfield Hospital.
