Medical Oncology
Medical oncology is the treatment of cancer using medication and treatment methods other than radiation. Working closely with other cancer specialists, medical oncologists provide primary cancer treatment, continuous follow-up, consultations, and help to create plans for cancer management. Medical oncology also includes access to clinical research trials, genetic screening, palliative care and pain management.
