Crozer-Keystone is Smoke-Free

Crozer-Keystone Health System Is Completely Smoke-Free

Consistent with our mission to improve the health of our community, the use of tobacco, smokeless tobacco and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) is prohibited in Crozer-Keystone facilities and properties.

All Crozer-Keystone buildings, property, parking areas, walkways, adjacent sidewalks, entrances, owned or operated vehicles, and personal vehicles parked on CKHS property are designated as “Smoke-Free.”

“Smoke-free” refers to all smoke and tobacco products, such as cigarettes, pipes, cigars and smokeless tobacco products, such as snuff, dip or chewing tobacco. This also includes electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), such vaporizers, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) or any other product that replicates an act of smoking.

All smoking materials must be extinguished prior to entering the grounds. Throwing cigarette butts on the ground violates the Crozer-Keystone Standards of Performance and is a form of littering.

This Policy applies to all who work at and visit Crozer-Keystone, including but not limited to employees, medical staff, allied health professional staff, students, volunteers, patients, visitors, vendors, and all partners or contracted employees. All members of the Crozer-Keystone Health System community are also responsible for observing the provisions of this Policy while at a Crozer-Keystone site.

Crozer-Keystone has a vital interest in maintaining a healthy, safe and hazard-free environment for our patients, visitors, physicians and employees, and is committed to offering positive and helpful intervention strategies and treatment resources in addressing this issue.
