The 2016 Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold Performance Achievement award from the American Heart Association.

The Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Performance
Award is currently the highest award
available for EMS Agencies.

Both Crozer-Keystone Health System Emergency Medical Services (EMS) divisions have achieved the 2016 Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold Performance Achievement award from the American Heart Association.

“This is our second year receiving the Gold Performance Achievement award, which showcases our department’s commitment and success in implementing specific quality improvement measures for the treatment of patients who suffer a severe heart attack knows as a STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction),” says Conlen Booth, BS, EMT-P, chief, Crozer-Keystone Health System EMS-North Division.

Currently the highest award available for EMS Agencies, the Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold Performance Award is based on meeting the achievement measures aggregated annually for two years with no single measure scoring below 75 percent.

“This award is a result of implementing best practices into our pre-hospital care of patients to rapidly identify a STEMI and working together with our hospitals to get our patients’ the best care necessary at the appropriate facility. It takes a dedicated team to recognize the importance of providing quality pre-hospital care to our community,” says Robert Reeder, BS, NRP, chief, Crozer-Keystone Health System EMS-South Division.

Crozer-Keystone Health System's EMS divisions join 447 EMS agencies in the United States and is two of 62 EMS agencies in PA to receive the 2016 American Heart Association Mission: Lifeline EMS Performance Achievement award.

Mission: Lifeline® helps STEMI-receiving centers leverage the capabilities of EMS and non-PCI hospitals for optimum treatment of STEMI patients. By working together under a shared set of guidelines and closing communication gaps about patient outcomes, the professionals within a STEMI system of care can save lives and improve the health of the communities they serve.
