Crozer-Keystone Health System.

Crozer-Keystone’s HAN Fertility Center, led by medical director Albert El-Roeiy, M.D., recently opened a new office in Havertown, Pa. Located at 2010 West Chester Pike, Suite 350, the office offers greater accessibility to residents of the Main Line and surrounding communities who now do not have to travel far for individualized and specialized fertility care.

El-Roeiy and his staff’s mission is simple: To help men and women realize their dreams of having a baby. They work to achieve this goal by offering the following range of services:

  • Fresh IVF and Frozen Embryo Cycles: The fertilization of eggs and transfer of resulting embryos from a woman’s stimulated menstrual cycle (fresh), or the transfer of embryos from previous IVF cycles (frozen).
  • Egg Freezing: The retrieval and freezing of a woman’s unfertilized eggs, to preserve fertility for future years.
  • Donor Egg Program: The process by which a fertile woman donates eggs to an infertile woman for the purpose of pregnancy.
  • Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS): A process that allows at-risk couples to have a single cell of fertilized embryos tested for all chromosomal abnormalities prior to implantation.
  • Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD): A process that allows at-risk couples to have a single cell of fertilized embryos tested for genetic abnormalities prior to implantation.
  • Male Factor Infertility Services: The evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of the male partner’s fertility conditions.
  • LGBT Reproductive Services: Offered to single, partnered or married couples regardless of sexual orientation.
  • Specialized Surgical Procedures: This includes evaluation and surgical treatments for endometriosis or structural abnormalities of the female reproductive tracts.

Infertility statistics are surprisingly high. A 2013 study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed the high rate of infertility among Americans. Some key research findings included:

  • 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to term.
  • African American women are more likely than Caucasian women to experience fertility issues.
  • Infertility affects 6.7 million American women (about 11 percent of those who are of childbearing age).

In addition, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine reports that “while infertility affects men and women equally, the male partner is either the sole or contributing cause of infertility in approximately 40 percent of infertile couples.”

These statistics help inform medical professionals like El-Roeiy and his colleagues at the Fertility Center.

Crozer-Keystone’s team has decades of experience in diagnosing and successfully treating couples who have been unsuccessful at getting pregnant or have failed fertility treatments in the past, as well as same-sex couples wanting a biological child of their own. In fact, people from all over the country, Canada, and as far away as New Zealand have sought out El-Roeiy and his team’s expertise.

“Our reputation is outstanding,” El-Roeiy says. “We have always prided ourselves on keen customer service and quality compassionate care.

“We are sensitive to our patients’ needs,” El-Roeiy continues. “For example, we have office hours seven days a week and on select evenings. We know that frequent visits to our office can be disruptive to our patients’ daily lives and professions; therefore, we do our best to accommodate them every way we can.”

In addition, the Fertility Center offers affordable, competitive pricing packages and a money-back guarantee to patients who meet certain medical and age-based criteria.

Even better, there’s no such thing as “cookie cutter” care at the Fertility Center. Once diagnosed, each patient or couple will receive a custom-tailored plan of all-inclusive care to maximize results.

Once pregnant, our team will follow the patient or couple until 12 weeks’ gestation. El-Roeiy encourages his patients to keep the lines of communication open during the entire pregnancy and beyond. His office walls are covered with treasured keepsake notes and photos of babies born with the help of the Fertility Center staff. “Often, patients periodically return to share their important milestones with us,” he says.

The Fertility Center’s new office in Havertown, conveniently located off Exit 9 of I-476 (The Blue Route), makes it easier than ever for patients from all over the region to access the Fertility Center’s comprehensive, patient-centered program.
