Crozer-Keystone Recognizes Employees of the Quarter for Q1 of 2016

  • Theresa Kennedy, patient care secretary on the telemetry unit at Taylor Hospital, is congratulated by her colleagues.

Crozer-Keystone Health System recently chose 10 employees as recipients of Employee of the Quarter awards. Employees received framed certificates for their accomplishment and a $100 check.

The winners were selected from over 75 employees nominated for this award. Here are the 10 employees selected, along with excerpts from their nominations:

Theresa Kennedy of Garnet Valley is a patient care secretary on the telemetry unit at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park

“Theresa is very dedicated, kind, knowledgeable and courteous. She makes sure all patient information is updated and she goes the extra mile to prepare and update the census for secretaries on the next shift.”

Patricia (Pattie) Strunk of Woodlyn is a medical receptionist at Crozer-Keystone Women’s Health at Silverside in Wilmington

“She is a shining example with her honesty, integrity, leadership and accessibility. She is the first to volunteer to help with anything from special projects to simply filing paperwork.”

Nailah Campbell of Chester is a concierge services team member at Crozer-Keystone at Broomall

“She is always willing to help the patients and also her coworkers as well. Nailah always has a smile on her face and treats everyone with lots of respect.”

Theresa (Terri) Sweeney of Secane is a RN at the Crozer-Keystone Haverford Surgery Center

“Terri always goes that extra mile. Her work ethic is superb with patient safety being her top priority. She is compassionate and caring along with being an unbelievable RN.”

Jacqueline (Jackie) Hepfer of Drexel Hill is a radiology tech at Pioneer Urgent Care in West Chester

“Excellent customer service and she always goes beyond the call of duty to help our patients.”

Fred Melchior of Springfield is an outpatient physical therapist at Barclay Square in Upper Darby

“Fred shows passion for what he does every day. He is a joy to work with and to learn from. Nothing is too much trouble. His patients love him...as well as all of the staff here at Barclay Square.”

Sveltana (Lana) DeAngelis of Aston is an Environmental Services team member for the Nathan Speare Regional Burn Treatment Center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland

“Svetlana (Lana) goes out of her way to help us in every way possible. She never wavers in her job responsibilities and actually thanks us for giving her the assignments! She is a pleasure to work with.”

Michele (Shelly) Patton of Glen Mills is a LPN with the Crozer-Keystone Recovery Center located at Community Hospital in Chester

“She has amazing crisis intervention skills, ability to remain calm and is comforting during stressful situations. Shelley has been such a blessing to our department. She is always a source of information and a comfort to the individual in crisis as well as the staff.”

Caren Pondok of Glen Mills is a sterile processing tech with the Endoscopy Center located at the Crozer Medical Plaza at Brinton Lake in Glen Mills

“Caren demonstrates outstanding performance and provides high quality care every day. She is very knowledgeable and highly trained in scope reprocessing.”

Susan Serviano of Springfield is a RN in the Acute Care Center located at Springfield Hospital

“Susan always puts the needs of her patients first. She works extra shifts when asked and is always pleasant. She is a natural leader.”
