Thanks to the support of Pennsylvania State Representative William Adolph, Springfield Hospital recently completed upgrades to its electrical infrastructure. Rep. Adolph visited the hospital on Oct. 10 to see the upgraded system.

With Rep. Adolph’s support, Springfield Hospital received a $500,000 Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant for the electrical upgrades. The project includes the installation of two new emergency generators (replacing an older generator) that will keep the hospital running smoothly in the event of a power loss. The project also includes the renovation of rooms to house new normal voltage switchgear and emergency distribution equipment.

“We wish to thank Representative Adolph for his support of the grant that allowed us to complete this important project for Springfield Hospital, which will help to ensure the safety of our employees, patients and visitors,” says Gwen Smith, president of Springfield Hospital.
