Crozer-Keystone Health Network is pleased to welcome board-certified gastroenterologist and Director of Advanced Endoscopy, Hemchand Ramberan, M.D. to the practice of Crozer Gastroenterology Associates. Dr. Ramberan specializes in advanced interventional and therapeutic endoscopy and is accepting new patients in his practice located at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

Crozer Gastroenterology Associates is one of the most advanced gastroenterology practices in the Delaware Valley. The experienced physicians provide minimally invasive advanced diagnostic and treatment options for gastrointestinal tumors and diseases related to the pancreas and bile ducts, as well as evaluation and treatment for reflux disease and Barrett's esophagus. Some of these advanced procedures include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and minimally invasive endoscopic resection of early stage gastrointestinal tumors, including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).

Most recently, Dr. Ramberan served as the Advanced Endoscopist at Erlanger Hospital, University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga, TN. There he was instrumental in developing a successful advanced therapeutic endoscopy program.

Dr. Ramberan earned his medical degree from the University of Guyana School of Medicine, Greater Georgetown, Guyana and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brown University School of Medicine, Providence, RI. He completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT and an advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina Digestive Disease Center.

Dr. Ramberan also completed a post-fellowship apprenticeship in advanced endoscopic imaging and minimally invasive endoscopic resection for early gastrointestinal cancers at the Keio University School of Medicine, Cancer Center and Division for Research and Development of Minimally Invasive Treatment and National Cancer Center Hospital, Tokyo, Japan.
