The Patients’ Choice Award by Vitals Awards & Recognition Program and Dr. Munshower’s positive patient ratings illustrate that he treats his patients with compassion and understanding.

“I believe it is important to help a patient identify their health goals and work with them to achieve it,” says Munshower. "It is an honor to receive this award. Our practice continually strives to make each patients experience one of understanding and compassion and to be recognized for this is truly rewarding.”

Each year, hundreds of thousands of new doctor reviews and ratings are featured on  Patients write about their experience and rate their doctor on several components of care, including bedside manner, doctor-patient face time and degree of follow-up.

Patients also provide their doctor with an overall rating. Vitals analyzes these ratings annually, along with other quality measures, to identify yearly winners of doctor awards. Of the nation’s 870,000 active doctors, only 5 percent were honored by their patients in 2014.

Vitals leads the market with the first transparency and engagement platform that achieves measurable savings for consumers through a retail-like approach to purchasing health care services. Through health plans, hospitals and our leading consumer websites, Vitals helps more than 150 million people each year access better, more affordable care.

In addition, Munshower came in first in the Nation as the Top Family Physician in the summer “HealthTap Top Doctor Competition.”

HealthTap is a medical expert network founded in 2010 and comprised of over 64,000 U.S. licensed doctors dedicated to improving people’s health and well-being by providing registered users with personalized health information and free online and mobile answers. The goal of the HealthTap program is to help people better understand health, make more informed health decisions and to find the very best doctors around.  In the Competition, tens of thousands of doctors and millions of patients have voted for doctors during the recent Summer Top Doctor Competition.
