May 6, 2014 (Upland, Pa) – The Maternity waiting room at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland recently underwent a significant upgrade made possible by a gift in honor of Patricia K. Bader and Albert X. Bader, Jr. The new waiting room was officially opened at a special ribbon cutting ceremony on April 25 that was held by the Crozer-Chester Foundation to celebrate the generous gift.

Thomas Bader, M.D., who is the Chief Medical Officer and the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, said that his mother and brothers had the desire to create a lasting memory by helping families during such an important moment in their lives.

Dr. Bader commented, “My parents, Patricia and Albert, demonstrated the importance of family and helping others throughout their lives, and my mom is so excited that families of newborns will now have such a wonderful waiting room as they experience a new life coming into this world.”

Crozer-Chester Medical Center has an Extreme Makeover project underway that continues with additional upgrades to the hospital. Recent improvements have included patient room makeovers on select units, upgrades to several corridors, elevator lobby upgrades, the demolition of Parking Garage 1, and more.
