Dina Capalongo, D.O. Joins Internal Medicine Associates
Crozer-Keystone Health Network is pleased to welcome board-certified physician Dina F. Capalongo, D.O. to the Internal Medicine Associates practice.

Dr. Capalongo is a longtime member of the Crozer-Keystone Health System, as a physician and clinical-educator for the Department of Medicine residency program since 1996. She currently serves as Division Director of General Internal Medicine and Program Director of the Transitional Residency and the Osteopathic Internal Medicine Residency.
She is a recipient of the Dean's Award of Excellence in Clinical Teaching from the medical students and is Associate Professor of Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine. She is a medical staff officer who also serves on the Medical Ethics, Credentials, Medical Education, Care Coordination, Clinical Effectiveness and Peer Review Committees. She has received Top Doc recognition by Philadelphia Main Line including 2013.
Board-certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Capalongo earned her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and completed her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She finished her Internal Medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, where she served as Chief Medical Resident.
Her area of special interest is prevention and wellness, which are hallmarks of a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). Internal Medicine Associates is recognized as a level III PCMH by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). She also specializes in treatment of patients' complex medical conditions.
"I encourage patients to have an open dialogue so I can treat all issues of their care in a holistic way," she says. "I insist on honesty and always treat patients with respect. I believe in patient education and encourage patients to take an active role in their healthcare and cure," says Capalongo.
