RIDLEY PARK, Pa. – Christine Maiorano, B.S.N., R.N., of Glenolden, was recently named Taylor Hospital’s Manager of the Quarter for the months of December 2013 through February 2014. Maiorano is assistant clinical director of the Taylor Regional Rehabilitation Center. She has been a part of the Taylor family since February 2002.
In receiving this honor, Maiorano was recognized as a hard worker and team player who is dedicated to helping others.
“Christine is a dedicated employee who addresses the concerns of every rehab patient and family member as if they were part of her own family,” says Alisha Hartunian, M.S.N., R.N., NEA-BC, clinical nurse director of the Taylor Regional Rehabilitation Center. “She is a role model to the rehab staff, and no request for assistance ever goes unfulfilled. Her strong work ethic and patient-centered focus has certainly contributed to our ongoing success with achieving positive patient experiences.”
This sentiment is echoed by Christine Mendez, M.S.N., R.N., director of Nursing at Taylor.
“Christine is an excellent manager,” Mendez says. “She is visible on the unit and gives 110 percent every day.”
Of being recognized by the hospital team, Maiorano says she takes nothing for granted. “I am very lucky to have the opportunities that I have today,” she says, noting that she began her career at Taylor as a patient care secretary, while she was a nursing student. “I am so thankful to have been nominated for this award and feel lucky to work with such a wonderful team!”
