On the Road to Success: 2014 Youth and Community Empowerment Summit
Chester's Youth Empowerment Summit
is Saturday, May 3, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
The Chester Youth Council and Kappa Alpha Psi Chester Alumni Chapter will host the 2014 Chester Youth and Community Empowerment Summit on Saturday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the S.T.E.M. Intermediate High School (formally Showalter Middle School), 1100 W. 10th Street, Chester, PA. 19013. The theme for this year is “On the Road to Success.”
This year’s summit is to promote a message of personal development to support community empowerment from a holistic approach; youth and adults will obtain resources to become the driving force of change in their homes, schools and communities. Admission is free to youth ages 12-22, parents and practitioners. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The event will feature a special performance by Chester native T-Kane and music by DJ Robbie Mac. In addition, the day will offer an assortment of educational workshops and learning forums for both youth and adults.
