David McCloskey, M.D. Joins the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Delaware County Memorial Hospital
Drexel Hill, Pa. – David McCloskey, M.D., a board-certified general surgeon who has been treating patients in Delaware County for two decades, has joined the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH). The Wound Center provides diagnosis of and comprehensive advanced care for many types of wounds, including venous, diabetic, pressure, post-surgical and traumatic wounds.

McCloskey, of Delaware Valley Surgical Associates, will continue to perform both general surgery and advanced would care in his Drexel Hill office. This includes treatment of venous stasis ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and other chronic wounds. McCloskey, who has served as chairman of the DCMH Department of Surgery since 2008, is certified in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy – an advanced treatment for certain acute wounds including some wounds associated with diabetes.
McCloskey, who has been a member of the DCMH Medical Staff since 1991, earned his medical degree from Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he also completed his general surgery residency. His philosophy is to provide state-of-the-art surgical care in a caring, personable environment.
