DCMH to Host Annual Diabetes Day on Nov. 6
Each year in November, Delaware County Memorial Hospital holds a signature event in honor of National Diabetes Month. Join us this year for our annual “Diabetes Day” on Wednesday, November 6.
This event will offer a health fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hallway outside of Meeting Room A of the hospital. Offerings include informational tables as well as free screenings (glucose, blood pressure and heel scan). In addition, the following “Lunch and Learn” presentations are scheduled at noon in Meeting Room A: “Diabetes Prevention/Diagnosis,” presented by Mary Jane McDevitt, R.N., B.S.N., CDE, program coordinator of the Crozer-Keystone Center for Diabetes, and “Wound Care and Diabetes,” presented by Rhonda Cornell, D.P.M., DCMH podiatrist. Lunch will be provided.
