Congressman Patrick Meehan Visits Crozer
U.S. Congressman Patrick Meehan toured Crozer’s Emergency Department to learn more about the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program and to meet with members of the news media to discuss the reauthorization of the Violence against Women Act.
The SANE program provides victims of a sexual assault with a SANE nurse who has been trained to assess, document and collect forensic evidence, conduct a limited medical exam, and provide the victims with emotional support and crisis intervention.
