Richard V. Buonocore, M.D. Installed as New President of the Delaware County Medical Society
Richard V. Buonocore, M.D., neurosurgeon with Neurosurgical Practice Associates at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, has been named President of the Delaware County Medical Society (DCMS).
Buonocore is a graduate of Villanova University (BS, MS). He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. A board certified neurosurgeon, he completed his postdoctoral training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia (neurosurgery and internal medicine residencies) and a fellowship at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston Massachusetts in stereotatic radiosurgery.
The DCMS is a professional organization for physician members (medical and osteopathic doctors), and is affiliated with the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) and the American Medical Association (AMA). Founded in 1850, and later incorporated as a non-profit organization, the DCMS is an active grassroots organization for physicians and medical practice administrators.
DCMS members either live or practice in Delaware County, PA, and are of all medical and surgical specialties. They are also in a wide variety of practice modalities, including employed physicians, private practice physicians and those in administrative, research and academic positions.
