CKHN Welcomes Board-Certified Surgeons Patrick L. Elliott and Omer S. Nasir, M.D. to General Surgery Associates

Crozer-Keystone Health Network is pleased to announce that board-certified surgeons Patrick Elliott, D.O. and Omer S. Nasir, M.D. have joined Crozer-Keystone General Surgery Associates and will see patients at their Ridley Park location and Brinton Lake Surgery Center in Glen Mills.

Patrick Elliott, D.O.

Dr. Elliott specializes in advanced laparoscopic, gall bladder, and hernia surgeries as well as emergency appendectomies. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and did his residency at University of Illinois at Chicago with an internship at Letterman Army Medical Center.  He is board-certified and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at both Temple University School of Medicine and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and formerly was an instructor in surgery at the University of Illinois. In addition, Dr. Elliott is a former Commander with the U.S. Army Forward Surgery Team and was deployed to Bosnia, Honduras, and Egypt.

His professional memberships include the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs. In addition, he has been honored with the Galen S. Young Sr. Award or Excellence in Surgery and the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Academic Achievement Award.

Omer S. Nasir, M.D.

Dr. Nasir specializes in general and minimally invasive surgery and performs a wide range of procedures, including abdomine wall hernias, laparoscopies and complex reconstructions, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, anorectal surgery, appendectomy, laparoscopy colectomy upper and lower endoscopy, and breast and thyroid surgery.

He completed a residency at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution in Baltimore as well as a general surgery residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He was also a research fellow in an MIS Clinical Outcome Study at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution.

He is board-certified by the American Board o Surgeons and is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
