Jyotsna Patel Named Taylor’s Employee of the Month for July

RIDLEY PARK, Pa. – Jyotsna (Josh) Patel, pharmacist, of Springfield, was selected as Taylor Hospital’s employee of the month for July. Patel works in the Pharmacy and has been a part of the Taylor family since April 1988.

Patel is known as being a very flexible and patient person and is consistently recognized by her coworkers for her great attitude. She is calm at all times and adapts very well to change.

“Josh is a long-time employee. She is very compassionate, diligent and focused on patient care,” says Bob Rossi, Pharmacy manager at Taylor. “She really takes ownership of the care of our patients. She is an amazing team player, always willing to help out and go the extra mile. While doing all these things, she desires no recognition whatsoever. She feels she is just doing her job and is very humble.”

“It makes me feel great to receive the employee of the month award. I did not expect it, but feel that it demonstrates that Taylor hospital cares about its employees,” Patel says. “I like to follow a work ethic where the patient comes first, and then other things follow. I put myself in the patient’s place and would like to be treated the same way as I would treat them.

“I am very fortunate to work with dedicated pharmacists, technicians and other fellow employees,” Patel continues. “This goes for the nurses as well. The pharmacy staff, as well as the nurses and physicians, work well together as a team.”

Taylor Hospital has been a member of the Crozer-Keystone Health System since 1997. Each year, Taylor admits more than 7,000 patients and receives more than 18,000 Emergency Department visits. For more information about Taylor Hospital or Crozer-Keystone, visit www.crozerkeystone.org.
