Crozer-Keystone Physicians to Offer Seminars on Hand and Wrist Problems; ‘Caring for the Caregiver’
Springfield, Pa. – Do you have hand or wrist pain that makes everyday activities—even sleeping—painful? Join Blane Sessions, M.D., Crozer-Keystone hand surgeon, for “Need a ‘Hand’ with Your Pain?” The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17, at noon in Meeting Room A of Delaware County Memorial Hospital, 501 N. Lansdowne Ave., Drexel Hill, PA.
Learn more about common hand and wrist problems, including carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s disease, thumb arthritis, trigger finger and more. Dr. Sessions will explain signs and symptoms of these common—and sometimes debilitating—problems, as well as how to relieve pain with over-the-counter medications and conservative therapies; when to see a doctor; and when you might be a candidate for surgery. Dr. Sessions will be available for questions after the presentation.
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, Barry Jacobs, Psy.D., will offer his popular “Caring for the Caregiver” presentation at 7 p.m. in the First Floor Community Room at Haverford Township Free Library, 1601 Darby Road, Havertown, PA. Dr. Jacobs, who is well-known for his caregiving presentations as well as an author of the book, Emotional Survival Guide for Caregivers, will cover issues experienced by those who are caring for an aging family member, as well as coping advice and strategies to deal with the challenges of caregiving. Dr. Jacobs will also be available for a question and answer session after his presentation.
