CKHS to Offer Lung Cancer Awareness Events in November
Crozer-Keystone Health System has planned a range of free activities in November, which is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, to ‘shine the light’ on lung cancer prevention and treatment.
- Nov. 1, Informational Tables: Kick off for Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Informational tables about lung cancer and cancer prevention will be available in public areas at CKHS hospitals from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Employees are asked to wear white.
- Nov. 6, Lunch and Learn Educational Program: Lecture in Northeast Conference Room #2 at Cozer-Chester Medical Center, noon to 1 p.m. Speakers: Stacey Su, M.D., Fox Chase Cancer Center thoracic oncology surgeon and director of Thoracic Surgical Oncology at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Lunch will be served.
- Nov. 9, Lunch and Learn Educational Program: Lecture in Meeting Rooms A and C at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, noon to 1 p.m. Speakers: Stacey Su, M.D., and Thomas Prestel, M.D., chief of Pulmonology at DCMH. Lunch will be served.
- Nov. 13, Lunch and Learn Educational Program: Lecture in Classrooms A and B at Taylor Hospital, noon to 1 p.m. Speaker: Stacey Su, M.D. Lunch will be served.
- Nov. 14, Educational Program: Educational program in Café Carl at Springfield Hospital. Speakers: Stacey Su, M.D. and Daniel DuPont, D.O. Registration and a light dinner at 5:30 p.m.; program at 6 p.m.
- Nov. 27, Lunch and Learn Educational Program: Lecture in the Lower Level Conference Room at Springfield Hospital. Speakers: Stacey Su, M.D., and Daniel DuPont, D.O. Lunch will be served.
- Nov. 29, Educational Program: Lecture at the Crozer-Keystone Regional Cancer Center at Brinton Lake. Speakers: Stacey Su, M.D., and Leonard Berkowitz, M.D., Crozer-Keystone pulmonologist. Registration and a light dinner at 5:30 p.m; program at 6 p.m.
All programs are open to Crozer-Keystone employees as well as the community. Tobacco cessation will be available at all programs.
