Shana Smelser Named Employee of the Year at Crozer-Chester Medical Center

Upland, PA- In an all-campus election, Shana Smelser was recently named employee of the year at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Smelser, who works as a Senior Patient Access Representative, received this honor during a recent employee service awards ceremony at the James E. Clark Education Center.

Smelser coordinates the flow of new and existing patients and helps to improve patient services. She was recognized for being able to handle tough situations and for keeping a positive attitude throughout the day. “She is cheerful and committed to her job, and the responsibilities that come with it,” says her manager, Kelly Kerley. 

Kerley adds, “Shana has the ability to quickly assign beds in admissions and problem-solve issues that occur during her busy shift from 2 to 10:30 p.m. Shana is an asset to the health system.”
