Crozer-Keystone and the Healthplex® Sports Club Provide a Sports Day Camp Designed for Asthmatic Children June 18 through June 22

Crozer-Keystone Health System and the Healthplex® Sports Club will host an Asthma Day Camp again this summer at the Healthplex® Sports Club from June 18 -22. The camp will provide fitness, conditioning, and sports with daily asthma education for children ages 7 to 12.

Crozer-Keystone and the Healthplex® Sports Club provide an opportunity for children in the area to learn fitness, conditioning and sports with a daily asthma education. Through this combined program, participants are guided by professionals to achieve exercise potential within a safe and challenge fitness training environment.

This program is ideal for children and adolescents who have difficulty controlling their asthma, may frequent the emergency room, tend to avoid taking their medicals, and have exercise-induced asthma. The focus of the camp is to assist children in gaining control of their asthma along with educating them on health and fitness, which will improve their overall condition.

The Healthplex® Sports Club is located at 194 West Sproul Club, Springfield PA. The club offers 10 indoor tennis courts, 3 championship basketball courts, 2 pools, fitness equipment, 1/5 mile running track, squash, racquetball and a café.

For more information about the 2012 Healthplex® Asthma Camp, call Tonya Merrill at (610) 328-8874. All applications must be submitted with a $15 application fee and a doctor’s written recommendation. Camp enrollment is limited so apply early.
