Ridley Park— Join Gregory Cuculino, M.D., chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Taylor Hospital, for “What You Need to Know About Stroke.” This informative presentation will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, at the Springfield Library Downstairs Meeting Room (70 Powell Rd., Springfield).
You can expect to learn the following at the presentation: How to identify and understand the risk factors, signs and symptoms of a stroke; an understanding of the differences between a TIA, hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke; the need for immediate identification and medical attention; how a stroke is treated in the ED, hospital and beyond; and information about TPA and its role in stroke treatment—indications and time frame for administration.
