Childbirth Education Classes at Crozer-Keystone Health System
The key to good health that lasts a lifetime begins even before your baby is born. Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Delaware County Memorial Hospital offer a variety of fee-based maternal/child health education classes to help families prepare for the birth and care of an infant. Below are the classes available at each site for July and August.
CROZER-CHESTER MEDICAL CENTER

Labor Preparation Classes
Labor preparation classes cover non-medicated methods of pain relief as well as medications, anesthesia and other medical procedures. All classes are held on the 2nd Floor Central Wing of the Crozer main hospital in Upland, Pa.
Tuesdays or Wednesdays, three weeks
July 7-21 (Wednesdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m.)
July 20-August 3 (Tuesdays, 7-9 p.m.)
August 11-25 (Wednesdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m.)

DCMH Birth Package: Labor Day, Therapies for Labor and Baby Beginnings
More affordable as a package but may also be taken individually. Scheduling is flexible so that they may all be taken either in four evening sessions or two day/night sessions. We recommend that you complete the programs one month before your baby is expected.
This program teaches you everything you need to know about labor and delivery at DCMH, such as signs of labor, when to call your provider, pain medicine and epidurals, and much more. Please choose one session from the list below.

Labor Therapies/Labor Blitz
This program covers hands-on methods to reduce pain and stress during the labor process. It includes massage, music, breathing techniques and more. Please choose one session from the list below.
Sunday, 4:45–7:45 p.m.
Monday, 7–10 p.m.
Thursday, 7–10 p.m.
Saturday, 1:45–4:45 p.m.
This program covers how to choose a pediatrician, making a feeding choice (breast or bottle), how to tell if baby is sick, how to soothe a fussy baby, and how to help baby sleep through the night. Please choose one session from the list below.

Breastfeeding—(recommend Baby Beginnings as a prerequisite)

Baby and Me (sibling preparation class)
