Crozer Gastroenterology Associates and the Crozer Endoscopy Center at Brinton Lake
Making care more accessible than ever for Delaware County residents, Crozer Gastroenterology Associates, led by Michael Farber, M.D., is now offering services at the Crozer Medical Plaza and Crozer-Keystone Cancer Center at Brinton Lake.
“We’ve expanded our availability, with physicians onsite five days a week,” says Farber. “We have multiple physicians and a nurse practitioner to expedite the scheduling of consultations and follow up with patients.”
The practice treats a wide range of GI and pancreatic disorders, including functional bowel disorders, liver disease, acid-peptic conditions, inflammatory bowel disease and gastrointestinal malignancies.
Onsite is a high-definition Endoscopy Center for patient convenience. “We offer upper endoscopy, small-capsule endoscopy of the intestine and colonoscopy in the new facility with a state-of-the-art lab,” Farber says. “This also helps our patients avoid having to go to a hospital building for an endoscopy—they can get the test done in a purely outpatient setting.”
The building, which Farber says has been designed with patient and family comfort in mind, is open Monday through Friday and features private patient pre- and post-op rooms for a discreet experience.
“We have the latest equipment for monitoring anesthesia so patients can tolerate the procedure safely, without discomfort, and go home and resume their regular activities,” says Ruth Dombkoski, M.D., who oversees anesthesia in the Endoscopy Center. “It’s a beautiful facility, and it’s very exciting to watch it open and become a resource for the community. There’s nothing quite like it nearby and we hope people will come and take advantage of our offerings.”
The Crozer Endoscopy Center at Brinton Lake is part of the Crozer Medical Plaza and Crozer-Keystone Regional Cancer Center building at 500 Evergreen Drive in Glen Mills. Using high-definition equipment, physicians can find and address GI and liver problems quickly and efficiently, using minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment procedures. The center, which also offers direct-access colonoscopy appointments, can be reached directly at (610) 579-3520.
Farber adds, “This is a great opportunity and I’m extremely pleased to expand the services offered through the Crozer-Keystone Health System. Having to go to the doctor’s office is never an entirely pleasant prospect but we believe we’ve made it as comfortable and inviting as possible.”
