Planned Giving Corner
A recent blog post [Sacred Conversations - Gary Shunk: email@example.com] discussed an important concept through one simple question: “What is a legacy conversation?”
“It is a conversation where the older and younger generations sit together and talk about what “really matters,” Shunk writes. “What really matters is each other; the family relationships and the way the family relates and loves each other. … So, the show and tell notion, related to legacy conversations, has to do with honestly sitting together and talking about who we are, how we are, and what we have.”
Maybe it is time to talk with your family. Share the stories of your family history. Explain why it is important to you to support the certain charities. Make sure you have a will that reflects your wishes on extending your legacy to your family and also consider continuing your philanthropically support of your favorite charitable organizations.
