Breast Health Teams Thank Komen for Grants
In 2011, the Philadelphia Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation recently awarded both Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Delaware County Memorial Hospital a $100,000 grant to help the health system’s fight against breast cancer. Members of the breast health teams at Crozer and DCMH recently gathered to recognize and thank Komen for those grants.
The grants are used to help meet the needs of the uninsured and under-insured residents of the Delaware County area. These services include screening mammograms, clinical breast exams, instruction in breast self-exam, and outreach programs and educational sessions for the community. Crozer-Keystone has partnered with Komen’s Philadelphia affiliate since 2002, receiving more than $1 million in grants during that time frame.
