Crozer-Keystone Health System hosted events to celebrate the opening of its new Crozer Medical Plaza and Crozer-Keystone Regional Cancer Center, a comprehensive cancer center and outpatient healthcare facility located at 500 Evergreen Drive in Glen Mills.
On Dec. 1, the health system hosted an invitation-only event to officially “cut the ribbon” on the 61,000-square-foot facility. More than 200 attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility and speak with the physicians, nurses and other employees who will provide care there. In addition to Crozer-Keystone administrators and physicians, attendees included vendors involved with the construction of the building, local business leaders and local legislators, including Pennsylvania Sen. Dominic Pileggi and Concord Township Board of Supervisors Chairman Dominic Pileggi.
On Dec. 3, members of the community enjoyed a Winter Wonderland Family Event and Open House. More than 400 people toured the facility and enjoyed photos with Santa Claus, performances by Makin Music Rockin’ Rhythms, face painting by the Healthplex® Sports Club, a chance to "broadcast" with KYW Newsradio, crafts, giveaways, food and more.
The Crozer Medical Plaza and Crozer-Keystone Regional Cancer Center will house a cancer center that will include three separate oncology practices, radiation oncology services, a PET-CT scanner and a range of patient-friendly services, such as a personal appearance enhancement center. The building will also offer an endoscopy center as well as specialty practices in gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, urology, behavioral health, dermatology, cardiology and more. Practices opened in December 2011 and will continue to open in early 2012.
Joining the Crozer Medical Plaza at Brinton Lake, 300 Evergreen Drive, and the Crozer Health Pavilion at Brinton Lake, 145 S. Brinton Lake Rd., the new facility continues to expand Crozer-Keystone’s healthcare offerings in Glen Mills and western Delaware County.
