C. Nathan Okechukwu, M.D., Named Interim Department Chair of Medicine at Crozer

C. Nathan Okechukwu, M.D., a board-certified nephrologist, was named the interim chairman of the Department of Medicine at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.  

Okechukwu currently serves as an attending physician with the Clinical Renal Associates practice at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. He has been a member of the CKHS medical staff since 2001. 

“I am honored to have been appointed to this position,” Okechukwu says. “I have had many wonderful experiences working with the staff and administration. I look forward to fulfilling my new role and continue the growth of the department.”  

Okechukwu received his medical degree from the University of Nigeria. He completed his residency at the University of Connecticut and his nephrology fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is board-certified in internal medicine and mephrology, and also holds a specialist certificate in hypertension management from the American Society of Hypertension. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland.  

Okechukwu is committed to providing high-quality care for patients with hypertension and kidney disease, with an emphasis on prevention and treatment.
