Taylor Dedicates Anniversary Garden in Honor of Hospital’s Centennial
On Sept. 22, Taylor Hospital unveiled its new memorial garden in honor of the hospital’s 100th anniversary. Fittingly, approximately 100 people showed up to celebrate, walk through the garden—which is landscaped with medicinal plants and local stone, including Wissahickon Schist and Pennsylvania Bluestone—help bury a time capsule and enjoy refreshments in the hospital’s main lobby. The garden was funded entirely through the Sarah Smith-Erb Memorial Landscape Fund. These monies were generously donated by William Erb Jr., a longtime Taylor general surgeon who retired from practice 10 years ago.
