Hewlett to be Honored at March of Dimes ‘Salute to Excellence’ in Delaware County
Crozer-Keystone is again the presenting sponsor for the March of Dimes’ annual Salute to Excellence in Delaware County, which will be held on Oct. 14 at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill. Guy Hewlett, M.D., Crozer-Chester Medical Center obstetrician/gynecologist and director of Medical Education for Crozer-Keystone, is among this year’s honorees.
The Salute’s volunteer committee selected honorees who best exemplify commitment to the community through volunteer service and excellence in their respective fields of Business, Education and Health. A Lifetime Achievement Award recipient was also selected.
The Salute to Excellence helps raise money for the March of Dimes’ mission of improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. In addition to Hewlett, who is one of the honorees in the “Health” category, this year’s honorees are:
- Business Honoree: L. William Kay, owner and president of Drexelbrook Associates, LLC.
- Education Honoree: Joseph M. Hargadon, professor of Accounting, Widener University
- Health Honoree: Michele Zappile-Lucis, director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, WorkCare and Employee Health, Mercy Fitzgerald Health System
- Lifetime Achievement: Vince Papale, author, public Speaker and NFL Eagles alumnus.
