How long is the internship program?

One year.

How many internship positions are there per year?

What is the design of the internship program?

Our internship, which fulfills the requirements of the American Osteopathic Association, combines the benefits of the traditional rotating osteopathic internship with the opportunity to take many specialized elective rotations (interventional radiology, wound management, and trauma). Our program is in the process of applying for ACGME pre-accreditation.

The training year is divided into 13 four-week rotations. Six required rotations include family medicine, general internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics and emergency medicine. The remaining time consists of service obligations, elective rotations, two weeks of vacation and five personal/sick days.

What are some of the technologies available to interns for patient treatment?

Crozer-Keystone Health System employs advanced technologies in the treatment of our patients. For example, our interns’ radiation oncology training takes place at DCMH’s Delaware County Regional Cancer Center, where a dual energy linear accelerator and a CT scan simulator, as well as, cyber knife are among the advanced technologies that our attending physicians and interns can used to treat cancer patients. PET and PET/CT are available on all campuses.

Are there options for those interested in pursuing a residency in internal medicine or family practice?
