CKHS Hospitals Observe National Nurses Week
During Nurses Week, nurses were honored at special breakfasts and luncheons, as well as the presentation of the 2009 Nursing Excellence Awards. Nurses also had the opportunity to learn about professional development programs, and at some sites, uniforms were available for purchase at discounted prices.
At Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Dolly Curley, RN, BSN, DABFE, LNCC, spoke on “Changing Healthcare” at the annual Catherine Bakia Lecture Series held on May 6. Curley is a nurse educator for CKHS Home Care and Hospice.
“We are deeply grateful for the dedication that our nurses show every day of the year,” says Nancy Bucher, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. “We welcome this opportunity to honor them for their passion and commitment to our profession.”
